IFA Free Trial Member Access* to the Journal of Fluency Disorders online for 2005

The International Fluency Association (IFA) and Elsevier are proud to announce that in addition to a print subscription to JFD, in 2005 IFA members are now able to access the Journal of Fluency Disorders online through ScienceDirect as part of their membership.

Members will have access to all issues of JFD dating back to 1995, plus most abstracts dating back to the first volume published in 1974.


How to sign up

All IFA members are invited to sign up for free access by visiting the following URL:

(Note
that “https://” MUST be entered for this URL – “http://” will not work. This is to ensure that your registration details are secured when you enter them into the registration form.)

Members will need to enter their customer reference number which can be found on the mailing label of the paper issue.

Accessing JFD online

During your registration you will be assigned a username and choose a password, which members can use to access JFD online from anywhere in the world. To begin reading the journal, log in at:

http://www.sciencedirect.com/jfludis


After logging in

Click on Browse to view the list of issues. Click on the issue you want to read and you will see a table of contents.

Click on Search to search within a variety of levels such as article, abstract, keyword, title. Searches can be saved and recalled if required.



To save time checking the site to see if a new issue is out you can set up Alerts that email you when the journal publishes its latest issue. You can also be alerted when a search that you have saved retrieves new results.


How to become a member of the IFA

Membership in the International Fluency Association is open to individuals interested in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of fluency disorders (stuttering/stammering). Members receive the Journal of Fluency Disorders which is published four times yearly in print and online.

* IFA members should be aware that free web access is offered by Elsevier on a trial basis until the end of 2005. In 2006, Elsevier and the IFA will decide on whether to continue access for society members under these terms.
