WELCOME TO IFA’S 8th WORLD CONGRESS

Welcome to IFA2015!

The full program is now available.

We hope that this program, with exciting keynotes and wide-ranging oral and poster presentations, will inspire clinicians, researchers, and people with fluency disorders. We interpret the term fluency disorders in its broad sense, and contributions from the related fields of stuttering, cluttering and other fluency disorders are included. The congress will maintain its research-focus, but aims to highlight and discuss research findings in terms of their clinical value.

As the title indicates, we will be embracing our differences.  Such differences may be found in opinions, beliefs, attitudes and speech behaviors. We challenge you to listen extra carefully to people with whom you might instinctively disagree, as we know that by sharing and discussing perspectives it is possible to develop new insights that can further our understanding of fluency disorders, and subsequently lead to improvements in quality of life for people with fluency disorders.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you in Lisbon. Come and celebrate IFA’s 25th Anniversary, and enjoy some time in this wonderful city.

Please forward this information to others, who might be interested in this conference. Thank you!

With kind regards,

Hilda Sønsterud

(on behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee)
